WHEELIE TEACH

Reviewed by Pro Freestye Rider Brian Bubash, published in Throttle Nation Magazine volume 2 issue 7

I first saw the Wheelie Teach at an XDL event a few months back. I thought it was a great idea, but I was still a bit skeptical. It seemed like it worked, but I wanted to try it out for myself.

I contacted Jeff Duzzny, the owner of Wheelie Teach, and he graciously let me use his own bike with the wheelie teach on it. I have to say, it did not disappoint. When I first stared riding I was nervous about turning or making a movement that it wouldn’t allow, but after a few moments I realized I couldn’t tell it was even on the bike.

The Wheelie Teach device only weighs a few pounds, so I didn’t even notice it while riding. Even turning is not affected: just ride like you normally would. The Wheelie Teach is also durable. After a few hard clutches everything was still in order and it showed no sign of wear. I even threw some rolling and circle burnouts into the mix and it made no difference to the performance of my bike.

I have to say this is a great idea for the rider who wants to take the learning curve out of getting the basic skills.

Multiple adjustments let you get only a few inches off the ground or within inches of balance point, but it won’t let the bike go too far. This is a great tool for someone who is just starting to ride or even and intermediate rider. Even more advanced tricks, like tank and combo wheelies, can be done with it, so the Wheelie Teach can still be a big benefit even if you’ve already mastered the basic wheelie.

The Wheelie Teach is already made to fit most popular brands, and new designs are always being produced, so you will be on one wheel in no time. Plus, installation is as quick as a NASCAR pit stop.

There is no such thing as a sage wheelie, but I personally recommend this to anyone who wants to learn whit the least amount of risk to yourself and your bike.
